Scott is the managing editor and director of digital product for The Chronicle of Higher Education. He’s been with The Chronicle since 2000 in a variety of roles, including as a reporter, assigning editor and editor of the website. Previously, he worked as a newspaper reporter in South Carolina and New Mexico, where he once wrote the not-very-good Perl scripts that ran the Albuquerque Journal’s dining guide. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism from Northwestern University.
