Sue is executive director and CEO of the Institute for Nonprofit News, a nationwide network of investigative and public service news media. She joined INN In 2015 after founding Cross Strategy, helping companies and causes grow in fast-changing environments. She previously worked as reporter, editor and business executive for The Associated Press global news agency. As AP senior vice president, business development and partnerships, Cross managed a nationwide membership cooperative, developed digital partnerships with media and tech firms across the U.S. and Latin America, expanded Spanish language news and and introduced digital video to thousands of news websites. Cross serves on boards including EdSource, the Social Enterprise Alliance/LA and the Center for Health Reporting at USC Annenberg. She lives in LA, loves it. When not at a computer, you’ll find her at the beach or in the mountains.
