John is Senior Editor for Data News at public radio station WNYC in New York. The Data News team supports the station’s journalism with data reporting, visualizations and interactives. John previously led WNYC’s news operation. In addition to his work at WNYC, John leads workshops on sensors and journalism, is part of small hardware-hacking group called Team Blinky and is writing a book tentatively titled "Family Projects for Smart Objects" for Maker Media.
