Gregg has been a staff attorney with the Reporters Committee since 1994, serves as editor of the Reporters Committee's news publications and guides, and has been the legal defense director since 2000. While attending law school, he wrote for several magazines as a freelancer, and worked as a writer and research director for a local business and political magazine. Gregg has served as chairman of the D.C. Bar's Media Law Committee and as a member of the American Bar Association's Fair Trial and Free Press Task Force, and currently serves on the governing committee of the ABA's Communications Law Forum.
