These recruiters are looking for multi-platform storytellers, web developers, content creators and editors, community managers, data journalists, social media experts and digital content leaders. Click on the company names above for links to their career pages to review jobs in advance of the conference, and here’s a complete list of sponsoring groups.
There are several ways to connect with these companies on site in Denver during the conference.
Look for these yellow career signs in the Capitol Ballroom exhibit and Midway areas, as well as the Centennial Foyer exhibit space. Those exhibitors have recruiters on site eager to discuss opportunities at their firms, so step on up and ask for more information.
Check out the ONA Big Job Boards! This is our annual throw-back to physical job boards. Dozens of positions can be found posted on giant white boards next to the Career Lounge in the Capitol Foyer, on the fourth floor. If the recruiters are on site, they will also list contact information to make an in-person connection.
We also offer many opportunities to network and discuss opportunities during receptions and social events throughout the conference, from the First-Timers Breakfast and Opening Night reception at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House to the OJA awards banquet and our many specialty receptions in between. Some require an RSVP for a drink ticket, so please check the ONA16 schedule for registration information.
September is a busy month on ONA’s digital Career Center, too. We have dozens of jobs from employers around the U.S., and feature these positions in our weekly newsletters — make sure to sign up for those — and via official ONA social channels. You don’t need to be in Denver to inquire/apply.
And recruiters don’t have to be ONA attendees! If you are interested in promoting your career opening to the ONA16 audience of 2,000+ digital journalists, please contact Jessica Strelitz about posting jobs on the Big Board in Denver and a generous discount for listings on our virtual Career Center.
