In her previous role as Engagement Editor at WNYC, Ariana helped launch Note to Self&#39;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wnyc.org\/series\/bored-and-brilliant\">Bored and Brilliant<\/a> series,\u00a0an interactive multi-week WNYC podcast that monitored nearly 20,000 participants\u2019 use of their smartphones. A follow-up project, <a href=\"http:\/\/project.wnyc.org\/infomagical\/\">called Infomagical<\/a>, aimed to help more than 30,000 people deal with Information Overload.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Prior to her work at WNYC, Ariana worked as a digital producer for American Public Media\u2019s Marketplace. There, she coordinated\u00a0the social media presence for the four Marketplace properties, oversaw special engagement projects, and trained a radio-centric staff on web-friendly practices. She has written for publications including The New Republic, On Being, St. Louis Public Radio, Bustle, and more.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A native of St. Louis, Ariana\u00a0graduated from Washington University in St. Louis\u00a0<em>summa cum laude<\/em>.\u00a0Previously, she was a Fulbright Scholar in Minsk, Belarus, researching teenagers, social media, and generational change.
