How Inclusiveness and Credibility Can Expand Coverage<\/a>,&#8221;<b>\u00a0<\/b>our outstanding experts will discuss how their organizations have developed concrete goals, set transparency standards and built partnerships to better reflect their communities in their coverage.<\/p>\n<p>As\u00a0news coverage increasingly\u00a0focuses\u00a0on race,\u00a0immigration and LGBT issues, it&#8217;s vital to improve the diversity and perspective of staff, sources and expert commentators.<\/p>\n<p>This session is a natural segue from previous conversations showcasing\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ona14.journalists.org\/sessions\/women-leaders\/\" target=\"_blank\">women leaders and innovators<\/a>\u00a0at ONA14 &#8212; discussions that helped launch the <a href=\"http:\/\/journalists.org\/programs\/womens-leadership-academy\/\" target=\"_blank\">ONA-Poynter Leadership Academy for Women in Digital Media<\/a>, and ONA&#8217;s next endeavor, the <a href=\"http:\/\/journalists.org\/2016\/06\/08\/now-more-leadership-training-for-women-journalists\/\" target=\"_blank\">Women&#8217;s Leadership Accelerator<\/a>.
