Qualifications: previous ONA conference volunteer experience, a nice smile, a love of digital journalism (and journalists) and a firm commitment.<\/p>\n
Volunteers work an eight- to 10-hour shift. In return, you\u2019ll get free and guaranteed registration to what has been a sold-out conference eight years running. There\u2019s plenty of camaraderie, lots of sugar and caffeine, and reasonable hours that allow you time to network and take advantage of what\u2019s at the conference. If you\u2019re selected, positions will be assigned during the summer.<\/p>\n
Remember we try to have a good mix of new and returning volunteers each year, so previous experience doesn\u2019t guarantee selection every year.<\/p>\n
